MyVibe ("we", "us", "our") operates the website myvibe.me and the application at app.myvibe.me. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Profile information (optional): Display name, gender, date of birth, country, bio, and avatar image.

Music preferences: Your favorite genres, artists, languages, regions, and playlist style settings.

Playlist history: The playlists we generate for you, including track lists, ratings, and feedback you provide.

Usage data: Which features you use, generation times, and error logs — used solely for improving the service.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not store your text prompts, uploaded images, or audio recordings. These are processed in real-time and immediately discarded after generating your playlist.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalized playlists based on your mood and preferences.
• To improve recommendations over time based on your feedback and ratings.
• To maintain, improve, and secure the service.
• Anonymized, aggregated data may be used for research to understand how music affects mood and well-being. This data cannot be linked back to any individual.

4. Third-Party Services

MyVibe uses the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

• OpenAI — to generate song recommendations based on your input.
• YouTube / YouTube Music — to search for and link to songs.
• Deezer — to search for songs and validate track data.
• Shazam — to identify songs from audio recordings (Vibe Catcher feature).
• Google OAuth — for "Sign in with Google" functionality.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Data Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices. All passwords are hashed. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS. We implement CSRF protection, rate limiting, and session security measures.

6. Cookies and Sessions

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• View, edit, or delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page.
• Request a complete export or deletion of your data by contacting us.
• Opt out of any data collection by using MyVibe as a guest (no account required).

8. Legal Basis & Compliance

GDPR: MyVibe is operated from Tallinn, Estonia, within the European Union. We process personal data under Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and Article 6(1)(b) (contract performance) of the GDPR. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data under Articles 15-20.

EU AI Act: MyVibe uses AI to generate music recommendations. This is classified as a low-risk AI system under the EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689). We use AI transparently, solely for music recommendations, with no profiling, scoring, or manipulation of user behavior.

ePrivacy: We use only essential session cookies required for the service to function. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics.

9. Children's Privacy

MyVibe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
